All dogs go to heaven
After almost two months of fighting, tests and drugs, we had to put Louie down today. We'd gotten him just over four years ago, during the midst of our struggle with infertility. He was my baby for those four years. We loved on him as much as he loved us back. When we came home with Danielle, he wasn't so sure at first, didn't wanna share his momma. But then after I was in NY for a week with just Danielle and came back, Louie became her protector and friend. Her lil shadows that would see if she left any food for him. And she did. Danielle would feed Louie whatever she was eating. And he would make sure that her face was clean. The last few weeks he was having problems with not making it outside before he'd go potty. So we had him sleeping in his kennel, bc the house was getting stinky. Then the last two days he slept on the bed again, so I got some cuddles with him. It was time, it wasn't fair to him to keep having him go through procedure after procedure. My brave lil Louie knew it was time for him to leave us. And I'm so grateful that we got to have him for as little time as we had.
