did i make the right choice?

I don't know if I chose right by going into geology. Before, there were so many job opportunities and now everyone seems to want a masters or PhD. so, I've been trying in other fields, and nothing seems to be happening. there aren't even teaching jobs opened for sciences. i could get a certificate, but if there are no openings, that won't help much. i would really like to finally be settled down, start a family and buy a house. but it can't happen on a temp job.
